Known the world over as one of the greatest science fiction films of all time, Fritz Lang's Metropolis had the largest budget of any picture produced through UFA. Offered here are two behind-the-scenes photographs from the film by Horst von Harbou. Von Harbou was the on-set photographer on all of Lang's films from 1922 to 1931. Seen in these images are numerous Metropolis cast and crew members, including Fritz Lang, Alfred Abel, Brigitte Helm, Gustav Fröhlich, Rudolf Klein-Rogge, and Fritz Rasp. The photos have corner bumps, and some finger print smudges near the edges. Fine/Very Fine.
