This original concept art, created for the six sheet format, promotes Jungle Moon Men, one of Johnny Weissmuller's adventure films following his transition from Tarzan to Jungle Jim, in which he plays himself. Crafted by acclaimed American illustrator and poster artist Glenn Cravath, renowned for his vibrant movie posters and pulp magazine covers of the early to mid-20th century, the piece bursts with dynamic action, exotic settings, and fantastical imagery - capturing both the pulp sensibilities of mid-century jungle cinema and the enduring appeal of Weissmuller as a leading figure in the genre. Included in this lot is the original release uncut pressbook for Jungle Moon Men, in which you can see an image of this very artwork in its completed six sheet form. Imperfections are limited to light handling wear, slight creases, a few small border tears, and a couple of faint stains.
