    Description

Forbidden Planet (MGM, 1956). Very Fine+ on Linen. Autographed One Sheet (27" X 41").
As one of the most iconic science fiction films of the 1950's, Forbidden Planet has a devoted following among collectors for its impact on the genre and the poster's monumental space age imagery. It was MGM's first big budget sci-fi flick, complete with cutting-edge special effects, the introduction of the beloved Robby the Robot, and a plot inspired by Shakespeare's The Tempest. Backed on linen, this one sheet features the signatures of Warren Stevens, Jack Kelly, Anne Francis, and Earl Holliman in the credits area, a rarity that could be the cornerstone for any sci-fi collector! The poster has touchup to the folds, and very light airbrushing to the borders to address minute tears. There is faint ink bleedthrough in the top left of the image.
