Description
Forbidden Planet (MGM, 1956). Fine/Very Fine on Linen. One Sheet (27" X 41").One of the most beloved sci-fi classics of all time, Forbidden Planet features lovely performances by Walter Pidgeon, Anne Francis, and Leslie Nielsen. The film is based on Shakespeare's The Tempest and is a 1950s gem highly regarded for its outstanding special effects, innovative soundtrack, and superlative cast and production value. Perhaps most notably, the film introduced Robby the Robot into the world of cinema, arguably the most famous automaton ever to appear on the silver screen. Professional corrections have been made to light edge and fold wear, very minor tape stain bleedthrough within the folds, and a few soft creases or tiny pinholes. The poster boasts an outstanding display after airbrushing has been applied to the folds and parts of the borders.
