A Clockwork Orange (Warner Brothers, 1973). One Sheet (26" X 41") Alternate "R" Style, David Pelham Artwork.
This is a Heritage first! We've never offered this version of the famous "R" rated version of this style one sheet. When Clockwork was marginally altered to achieve an R-rating, Stanley Kubrick wanted to call attention to the rating with another image, as the Castle artwork had already become iconic and the film would now be available for viewing by a wider audience. He liked this design created by David Pelham for the Canadian paperback edition of the Anthony Burgess novel, and had it adapted as the new poster for an R-announcement release. It was used for a short time before the original Castle image was reinstituted. This version with quotes by filmmakers is more rare than the known Pelham poster and obviously was printed in very small quantities with very limited release. The poster has pinholes in the border with a few into the image background. Folded, Very Fine/Near Mint.
