Humphrey Bogart stars as a con sent up for robbery who becomes aware that a prison guard (perennial good guy Pat O'Brien) has fallen in love with his sister (Ann Sheridan). Bogart breaks out of San Quentin just so he can put a stop to the romance. Bogart made an entire career by playing gangsters during the last half of the 1930s and this was one of his best. This poster is amazing for its sleek design, utilizing a stark graphic of the prison life by depicting a chain motif. This wonderful insert, one of two confirmed copies in existence, has had touchup to the folds and creases, which are still slightly visible. There were a few extra horizontal folds and an upper corner impact. Fine/Very Fine on Paper.
