DescriptionSalome (Columbia, 1953). Fine+ on Linen. Japanese STB (20.25" X 58").
Rita Hayworth, as Princess Salome, dances her dance of the seven veils to bend King Herod (Charles Laughton) to her will. Depicting the end of the famous dance, this poster looks much like a huge pin-up of Hayworth, who was the top pin-up girl of WWII. Professionally restored, this spectacular poster once had creases, small tears, a few chips at the edges, and some paper loss in the lower left corner that extended slightly into the title. There are some faint unaddressed stains still visible.
Estimate: $800 - $1,600.
