    Description

Runnin' Straight (Universal, 1920). Good- on Linen. One Sheet (27.25" X 41").
One of four winners for Motion Picture Classics magazine's "Fame and Fortune" contest, the fifteen-year-old Virginia Browne Faire got her Hollywood start in this short Western. Paired against longtime silver screen cowboy Hoot Gibson in her debut, Faire would go on to star as the leading lady of the 1922 film Monte Cristo with John Gilbert, as well as with Wallace and Noah Beery in 1923's Stormswept. A Heritage first, this one sheet features a wonderfully vibrant portrait of Hoot in stone litho printing. It is now a fantastic display piece after professional conservation corrected fold wear and separation, creases, tears into the interior, and chips along the borders and folds. There was a 0.25" to 0.5" trim in the top and left borders, and the poster had paper loss along the right side into the credits, title, background, and Hoot's shoulder. The borders and text have been airbrushed, completing the poster's skilled restoration. Please Note: Although backed onto linen, this poster will be shipped flat and result in higher than usual shipping fees. Good- on Linen.
