    Description

To Have and Have Not (Warner Brothers, 1944). Herald (8.5" X 11.5"). Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall met and fell in love while making this film and every bit of that heat shows on screen. Bogart runs a charter boat in Martinique during WWII. A big customer is killed before he can pay, so Bogart and his rummy buddy Walter Brennan are forced to smuggle in a Resistance leader. Meanwhile, Bogart and Bacall are smoldering with looks and exchanges like the "You know how to whistle?" scene. This Herald has corner creases, a few small stains, a wrinkle, and a small edge tear with tape on the back. There is a tax stamp on the back that overlaps slightly onto the front. The front has a beautiful shot of Bogie and Bacall, while the back features theater schedules (we presume) in Turkish. A very nice and unusual piece from this great film. Fine/Very Fine.
