The Spanish Dancer (Paramount, 1926). Swedish One Sheet (23.5" X 35.5").
Pola Negri is delightful as a gypsy fortune teller on this very rare Swedish one sheet from The Spanish Dancer. A silent costume drama, the film is more or less the same plot as Mary Pickford's Rosita, made around the same time. This picture was considered the better of the two, with direction by Ernst Lubitsch, co-starring Antonio Moreno as a dashing count, and Wallace Beery as the king of Spain. There are two horizontal creases, tears in the right and left border, and bottom edge wear with tears. Fine drawing and simple strokes of red accentuate Negri's allure on this treasure from the silent film era. Folded, Very Fine-.
