    Description

The Prince and the Showgirl (Warner Brothers, 1957). Folded, Very Fine+. Three Sheet (41" X 79").
A true piece of Hollywood lore is frozen in time in this ironically romantic and fun three sheet featuring two of the top stars the cinema has ever known. It was the classic mix of "stone and flower petal" with the real drama backstage, and only occasionally on screen. The fragile psyche of the insecure Marilyn Monroe and the iron will of the classically trained Laurence Olivier created one of the most difficult filmings in history. Well preserved, this poster shows only pinpoint crossfold separations, soft creases, faint image ghosting, or unobtrusive stains. This poster will make a wonderful addition to any Monroe collection.

    Estimate: $1,000 - $2,000.
