San Francisco (MGM, R-1953). French Grande (47" X 63").This grand MGM production is set in San Francisco at the turn of the 20th century when a cataclysmic earthquake destroyed the city. The film's great success was due in no small part to the top-notch performances by three of the studios biggest stars, Clark Gable, Spencer Tracy and Jeanette MacDonald. The poster had edge tears which run slightly into the background, tears in the vertical folds, minor crossfold chips, small chips in the upper horizontal fold, and chips in the top and left borders. Light restoration has been applied, including touch-ups to the folds. Fine+ on Linen.
