    Description

    Sabrina (Paramount, R-1964). Japanese STB (20" X 57").
A year after winning the Oscar for Best Actress in Roman Holiday, a youthful Audrey Hepburn was nominated again, this time for her role as Sabrina Fairchild in Billy Wilder's Sabrina. The role was perfect for the ingénue, as she portrayed the daughter of a chauffeur who pines for the love of her life-- wealthy playboy David Larrabee (William Holden) whom her father works for. When she returns home from school, she's become a beautiful and sophisticated young lady, and it isn't long until David and his brother Linus (Humphrey Bogart) fall for her. This Japanese poster is one of the rarest posters ever created for the film and features Hepburn in her Oscar winning gown designed by Edith Head. The poster has three tape stains in each of the top and bottom edges. There is a pinhole in Hepburn's nose and a fold split that extends slightly into Hepburn's ear. Minor waters spots can be detected in the bottom panel, and a tape stain is present where the two panels have been joined. Fine.
