Red Dust (MGM, 1933). Very Fine- on Linen. Pre-War Belgian (24" X 33").
Never before offered by Heritage, proudly presented here is the luminous pre-war Belgian for Red Dust. Set on a rubber plantation in Indochina, the film presents the steamy love triangle of Clark Gable, the rugged plantation owner, Mary Astor, the wife of an engineer on the plantation, and Jean Harlow, a sultry lady of the night. Rife with sexual tension, Red Dust is very notably a pre-Code creation, exploring the themes of morality and desire with a nuanced lens. Gable and Harlow truly dazzle in this rare poster, which is sure to present an exciting opportunity for collectors. Minimal touchup has addressed a few slight tears while light fold wear, a couple smudges, and a few primarily minor tears remain visible.
