Ramona (20th Century Fox, 1936). Poster (40" X 60"). This was the second screen version of the Helen Hunt Jackson novel and 20th Century Fox's first full Technicolor production. This film stars Loretta Young, who plays a young girl who is half-Indian, that is being raised by a white family. Ramona falls in love with a young man in the family, but a "mixed-race" relationship is forbidden. She then turns to the family's Native American servant, who's portrayed by Don Ameche. There are several long tears throughout the poster, border imperfections; tears, chips and small areas of paper loss. The poster has been professionally restored, rendering these defects difficult to detect. The colors on this striking, rare, silkscreen remain bold and vibrant and the poster displays very well.
