Promise To A Stranger (CPLF-Gaumont, 1942). Folded, Fine-. French Grande (47" X 63"). French Title: Promesse à l'inconnue. Starring Henri Guisol, Marcel Andre, Charlotte Clasis, Gisele Alcee, Alexandre Fabry, and Pierre Brasseur. Directed by Andre Berthomieu. An unrestored poster with good color and an overall presentable appearance. Exhibits fold and edge wear, some crossfold and fold separation, noticeable fold separation to top central panel, minor paper loss, surface abrasions, toning and light foxing consistent with age, handling creases and light stains. Censorship stamp to lower right. Small section of tape and unobtrusive ink stamps to verso.
