    Description

Maitresse (Tinc Productions, 1976). One Sheet (27" X 40.75") Flat Folded. Romance.
The artwork for this poster is by noted Pop Art artist, Allen Jones. It was Jones who turned down Stanley Kubrick to do the Korova Milkbar settings in Clockwork Orange. Kubrick said he couldn't pay Jones anything, but he would make Jones even more famous than he was at that time. Jones declined to work for free, and Kubrick used a variation of Jones designs anyway! Note the clever use by Jones of the French word "allez", or roughly, "off with you," (go to the dungeon), spelled out in the keys the dominatrix holds. Starring Gérard Depardieu, Bulle Ogier, André Rouyer, Nathalie Keryan, Roland Bertin, Tony Taffin, Holger Löwenadler, Anny Bartanovski, Serge Berry, Richard Caron, Pierre Devos, Jeanne Herviale, Michel Pilorgé, Cécile Pochet. Directed by Barbet Schroeder. An unrestored poster with bright color and a clean overall appearance. It may have general signs of use, such as slight edge wear, and minor surface crinkles. This poster has a single horizontal fold and no vertical folds. Please see full-color, enlargeable image below for more details. Folded, Very Fine-.
