Breakfast at Tiffany's by Enzo Nistri (Paramount, 1961). Very Fine-. Preliminary Mixed Media Concept on Sketch Paper (6.75" X 9.5") for Italian 2-Fogli.
Heritage is proud to present this one-of-a-kind preliminary sketch by renowned Italian poster artist Enzo Nistri, featuring a playful portrait of Audrey Hepburn in her famous role of New York social butterfly, Holly Golightly. Made from a mix of gouache, water color, and pencil, this lovely rendering of Hepburn served as a rough draft for the illustration found on the Italian 2 - fogli, one of the film's best poster images in the entire ad campaign. Enzo worked in Italy's movie poster industry for thirty years as designer and illustrator, creating dozens of wonderful paintings from the 1950s into the 1980s. Other titles that bear Enzo's masterful artwork include the likes of Hitchcock's Notorious, Planet of the Apes, and Godzilla, just to name a few. General signs of handling include light edge wear and soft creases. There are a few smudges as well as a stain, which most likely occurred during production. Very Fine-.
