    Description

The Grateful Dead at The Avalon Ballroom (Family Dog, 1966). Concert Poster No. 12-2 (14" X 20") 2nd Printing. Rock and Roll.
Featuring a unique concert poster and one of the most classic of the early Family Dog images, known as "The Quick and the Dead." This poster for The Grateful Dead with Quicksilver Messenger Service and The New Tweedy Brothers, was designed by Family Dog artist Wes Wilson and presents the earliest use of a skeleton image and predates-by months the use of the skeleton and roses motif later associated with The Grateful Dead. An unrestored concert poster with a clean overall appearance. It may have general signs of use, such as slight edge wear, corner bends, smudges, and light foxing. Please see full-color, enlargeable image below for more details. Rolled, Very Fine+.
