    The Beatles (c.1964). Very Fine+. Veri-Vue Uncut Sheet of Pins (11" X 15").
In the late 1930's, the first multiple image lenticular image was formed and this was the seed that started the Vari-Vue company. During this time, Vari-Vue coined the name "lenticular," to describe their linier lenses, "Winkies" to describe their ever popular blinking eyes and "Magic-Motion" to describe any lenticular image containing motion. By the late 1940's, Vari-Vue had become a household name by producing millions of animated and stereographic lenticular images which were available everywhere. These images included everything from wall hangings, to record album covers, Cracker Jack prizes, greeting cards, post cards, political buttons and so much more. By the 1950's, Vari-Vue's lenticular images had become a craze and many, if not most famous personalities of the time, wanted to be featured in Vari-Vue advertisements. Of course promoters vying for the Beatles, England's favorite quartet, on all of the most saleable items for teenagers, jumped at these promotional trinkets. Offered in this lot is an uncut "Beatle Booster" pin sheet, which would have been placed under a lenticular sheet and made into buttons. Each sheet would make 20 pins. The sheet is in excellent condition.
