    Description

Rock Concert Postcard Lot (Family Dog, 1967-1968). Promotional Postcards (12) (5" X 7"). Rock and Roll.
Offered in this lot are vintage postcards from The Family Dog, promoting all sorts of classic rock and psychedelia concerts at the Fillmore and the Avalon Ballroom, many put on during San Francisco's mythical Summer of Love. The cards announce appearances from groovy folks like The Velvet Underground, Big Brother and the Holding Company with Janis Joplin, The Doors, Love, Van Morrison, Country Joe and the Fish, Iron Butterfly, Canned Heat, Blue Cheer, Vanilla Fudge, and more, and feature fantastic art from scene vets like Robert Fried, Alton Kelley, Rick Griffin, Stanley Mouse, Bob Schnepf, and Victor Moscoso. Unrestored postcards with bright colors and clean overall appearances. They may show general signs of having been displayed, such as slight edge and corner wear, minor creases, pinholes, very small tears, or some toning. Some of the postcards also have stains or adhesive remnants on the verso, but all are free of writing and postage stamps. Please see full-color, enlargeable images above for more details. Overall Grade: Very Fine-.
