    Description

Facial Hairpieces from The Doors (Tri-Star, 1991). Screen-Used Facial Appliances (8 Sets) (Human Hair on Netting, Various Dimensions). Rock and Roll.
"Break on through, to the other side" of fandom with this fantastic array of beards, moustaches, and sideburns used in the production of Oliver Stone's legendary biopic on The Doors and its Lizard King, Jim Morrison. There are four sets for Val Kilmer, one for real-life rocker Billy Idol (who was originally slated to play Morrison's close friend Tom Baker, but had to settle for the smaller role of "Cat" after injuring his leg in a motorcycle accident), and one for Kyle MacLachlan as Doors co-founder Ray Manzarek, along with sets for Kevin Dillon as drummer John Densmore, and Frank Whaly as guitarist Robby Krieger. Unrestored hairpieces with clean overall appearances. The articles are in their original makeup bags, and have been affixed to printouts of the film's crew list with steel pins. Each bag has the cast member's name and the length of the hairs written on it in marker, and some bags retain traces of the stylists' adhesive and oils used on set. A small number of the hairs have become detached from their mesh netting, over the course of time. Please see full-color, enlargeable images above for more details. Overall Grade: Very Fine-.
