    Description

Canned Heat at The Avalon Ballroom (Family Dog, 1967). Concert Poster No. 90-1 (14" X 20") 1st Printing. Rock and Roll.
When commercial artist Bob Fried started to create his own posters in the 1960s, he wanted to keep the design simple to convey feelings of dimensional space, or the plasticity of time, something he had experienced during an LSD trip. This concert poster for Canned Heat with Lothar and the Hand People, Allmen Joy, and Super Ball, is a clean interpretation with simple images in a vast space. An unrestored concert poster that appears virtually unused. Closer inspection may reveal one or two minor flaws, such as light edge wear, and a soft lower left corner bend. Please see full-color, enlargeable image below for more details. Rolled, Very Fine/Near Mint.
