    Description

Robot Monster (Astor Pictures, 1953). Rolled, Fine-. Half Sheet (22" X 28") 3-D Style.
Long revered as perhaps the pinnacle of true "kitsch" from the 1950s, this rare half sheet depicting the film's 3-D version has always been difficult to find. That's long-time Hollywood gorilla man George Barrows wearing the oversized suit with the diving helmet! This half sheet from the fun-to-watch cult favorite has edge wear, creases, tears, and small chips. Some of the tears extend into the interior and are braced with paper tape on the verso, which has caused tape stain bleedthrough. There are pinholes, unobtrusive smudges, and minor stains. The poster also has tape stains in the corners with some white touch up applied, as well as amateur touchup to staining where snipes were removed over the 3-D and 3-Dimension text. Rolled, Fine-.

    Estimate: $1,000 - $2,000.
