    Description

Return of the Jedi (Yamakatsu, 1983). Japanese B2 (20.25" X 28.5") Style B, Noriyoshi Ohrai Artwork.
Featured is a copy of Yamakatsu's difficult to come by 1983 giveaway poster, known affectionately to collectors as the "Nova" or "Starfall" style. Noriyoshi Ohrai's fantastic artwork finds our beloved R2-D2 and C-3P0 standing stoically before an exploding nebula, prepared once again to offer their humble services towards the salvation of the universe. Not many of these very rare posters have found their way into the hands of Star Wars collectors, as they were only offered to the public exclusively at the theaters themselves during the first release or as reportedly a trading card giveaway. This makes it far more scarce than other B2s we have offered, since fans had no other opportunities to acquire these fine Japanese posters. Don't miss your chance on this Heritage first! The poster itself is in excellent condition - showing only a few faint creases, and light edge wear in the lower left corner. Also in the lower left corner, and frequently found on these poster editions, is an original Toho commerce stamp. Rolled, Very Fine.
