DescriptionReturn of the Jedi (20th Century Fox, 1983). Very Fine/Near Mint. Model Identification Sheets (3) (14" X 11").
From the estate of Richard Burrow, a former employee of Industrial Light & Magic (George Lucas's special effects company), these highly detailed model identification sheets are one-of-a-kind items used during the production of Return of the Jedi. Burrow was the sound effects editor for the film. Instantly recognizable today to collectors and fans, it is hard to believe that these sheets were created to help the production crew identify these now-iconic spacecraft. Featured on these sheets are images of Han Solo's Millennium Falcon, a partially rebuilt Death Star, Darth Vader's Star Destroyer, a rebel X-Wing, an Imperial T.I.E. Fighter, and more. These pieces are actually photographs, not printed, with exceptional attention to the most minute details. Each sheet was placed in a protective acetate sleeve with the ships' names written below each image in grease pencil to aid the crew. The sheets themselves show virtually no signs of wear, and the acetate sleeves have only light tape stains, presumably from studio usage, and mild rippling consistent with age and use. Very Fine/Near Mint.
Estimate: $3,000 - $6,000.
