DescriptionReturn of the Jedi (20th Century Fox, 1983). Rolled, Near Mint-. One Sheets (50) Identical (27" X 41") with Original Blue Harvest Box (28".5" X 4.5" X 4.5") Style B, Kazuhiko Sano Artwork.
Known as a "title ruse," it's not uncommon for many Hollywood films to go by completely unrelated working titles to keep their production a secret. Such was the case for the conclusion of George Lucas' popular space epic, titled as Blue Harvest to those not in the loop at 20th Century Fox. Billed as a supposed horror film in the works, all of the crew T-shirts, shipping materials, and invoices bore the deceptive working title in an attempt to keep up the ruse. Hence the importance of the very rare Blue Harvest shipping box included in this lot, which also features the original Gore Graphics address label. It's almost unheard of to find an unused roll of this many one sheets from Lucas' sci-fi adventure, and these exceptional posters have minor corner bends, minute nicks, and unobtrusive stains, but are in otherwise fantastic condition. The box shows normal handling wear from shipping, but no other issues. Altogether, this lot should be of the greatest interest to Star Wars fans everywhere. Near Mint-.
Estimate: $5,000 - $10,000.
