Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm (20th Century Fox, 1938). Three Sheet (41" X 79") Style A.
One of the greatest stars on the Fox lot was none other than an adorable ten year old named Shirley Temple. After rising to fame at the ripe old age of 5, she swept the nation in popularity and became the box-office champ from 1935 to 1938. With that resume,' Shirley was a natural to play the role of "Little Miss America," a child who sings her way to stardom on the radio. This third filming of Kate Douglas Wiggins's book has very little to do with the source novel, but it does have the ebullient Temple as an adorable moppet (what else?) who gets dumped on the titular farm when her fly-by-night uncle leaves town. The film has a truly memorable dance routine at the close of the picture with Bill "Bojangles" Robinson. The poster shows edge wear with tears, fold wear with separation and small chips, staining in the borders and along two folds, a tear in the lower border extending into the image, and tape on the verso. There is some bleedthrough in the upper border from writing on the verso. The sections of the poster have been connected with tape on the verso. This is the first time Heritage has offered this three sheet. Folded, Fine.
