Rango (Paramount, 1931). Folded, Very Fine+. Swedish One Sheet (27.5" X 39.5") Gosta Aberg Artwork.
This jungle adventure film was directed by Ernest Schoedsack of King Kong fame. It is alternately tinted yellow (for day), red (for sunset) and blue (for night), and is silent except for a talking prologue and a synchronized musical score. The film was shot in the jungles of Achin (also called Atjeh) in northwest Sumatra, Indonesia. Javanese and Malays were in the cast, along with the Achinese, who Motion Picture Herald describes as "one of the fiercest tribes in the Dutch West Indies." This gorgeous Swedish one sheet is only the second poster we have offered for this film and the Aberg artwork is stunning. Presented at Heritage for the first time, this stone litho Swedish one sheet shows only light edge wear and a minute nick in the center crossfold. Folded, Very Fine+.

    Estimate: $600 - $1,200.
