DescriptionPsycho (Paramount, 1960). Very Fine+. Lobby Card Set of 8 (11" X 14").
Few films have changed film grammar quite as dramatically as this Alfred Hitchcock masterpiece. These lobby cards lay out exactly how Hitchcock achieved such great audience response -- the sense of fear is palpable from the first card, Janet Leigh's uneasy look present even in her lover's embrace. This dread reaches its apex in the third card, in one of the film's most iconic images: Anthony Perkins stands at the entrance of the house on the hill, where "Mother" lives. These cards are in beautiful condition, with only one pinhole in each card. The #1 card has just a very faint paper clip mark at the top border, and several cards have light smudges on the border. The original glassine envelope is included with the set.
Estimate: $1,500 - $3,000.
