    Description

    Popeye (Paramount, 1950). Stock One Sheet (27.25" X 40.75").
Beloved by children and comic lovers for generations, Elzie Chrisler Segar's famous comic strip character, Popeye, first came to life on the big screen next to Betty Boop in a 1933 short, quickly rising to even greater popularity with a wider fanbase. Soon enough, everyone's favorite spinach-chugging sailor began starring in his own shorts, and has been charming audiences in theaters and on television screens ever since. Touchup has been applied to the folds, a small gouge in the upper left background, and a chip in the center crossfold. There has been partial touchup to a few tears into the interior. Unaddressed wear includes pinholes, paper lifts, small tears, and minor bits of paper loss at the edges. There are a couple of horizontal tears in the right side of the title, and the poster displays color fading. The linen has been trimmed to the borders, and the poster may have a very slight trim at the left and right edges. Very Good on Linen.

    Estimate: $400 - $800.
