    Description

Popeye in Bulldozing the Bull (Paramount, 1938). One Sheet (27.5" X 41").
Fleischer studios his animated gold with their long decade-long Popeye series, this being their 63rd short for the one-eyed sailor. Showing he's more than just muscle, Popeye displays his gentler side when he finds himself face to horns with an angry bovine in a bullfighting arena. Declaring the sport inhumane, an interesting sentiment for the 1930s, our spinach-chugging hero snaps his swords in half and takes care of things his way. Making it's first appearance at Heritage, this exciting one sheet is a great opportunity for fans of classic animation. There has been touchup to the folds, pinholes in the borders and interior, and a tear from the top border into the first "E" of "Popeye." A few of the pinholes were torn. Very Fine- on Linen.

    Estimate: $1,500 - $3,000.
