    Description

Polly of the Movies (First Division Pictures, 1927). One Sheet (27" X 41") Style A.
Gertrude Short is Polly, a plain, small town girl who dreams of being a movie actress. When her beau inherits $25,000, they head to Hollywood to make their own picture. Short starred in a series of "Telephone Girl" comedies directed by her husband Scott Pembroke, but left show business during World War II to work for Lockheed. The film also stars Jason Robards Sr., Stuart Holmes, Corliss Palmer and Jack Richardson. Paper on this film does not surface very often, and this gorgeous stone litho is a Heritage first. The borders have been airbrushed to address missing paper, and touchup applied to chips and tears in the top section and in Short's leg. Fine on Linen.
