Pistols for Breakfast (Pathé, 1919). One Sheet (28" X 41").
After starring as the Chaplin inspired character "Lonesome Luke" in a number of shorts up until 1918, Lloyd changed his screen persona to that of the "Glasses" character, now one of the icons of silent comedy. Directed by Hal Roach, Pistols for Breakfast was one of the first shorts featuring Lloyd's new persona, starring alongside his longtime leading lady Bebe Daniels and sidekick Snub Pollard. This lovely stone litho piece features a great image of our two stars, and has had professional restoration to fold wear with minor crossfold chips, pinholes in the outer upper background, small tears at the edges, and some diagonal creases. The borders were once trimmed and have since been restored, only intruding into a minor bit of the background at the bottom. Fine on Linen.

    Estimate: $2,000 - $4,000.
