    Description

    Pinocchio (RKO, 1940). Insert (14" X 36").
After Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs proved the viability of feature length animated films, Walt Disney continued his trend of high-end cartoon productions with this Academy Award winning adaptation of Carlo Collodi's famous fairy tale. Critics praised nearly every aspect of the picture, from its beautiful animation, excellent characters, to its Oscar worthy musical score. To tie it all together, the film also enjoyed incredible voice acting by Dick Jones as Pinocchio, Cliff Edwards' Jiminy Cricket, Christian Rub as Geppetto, and Evelyn Venable playing the Blue Fairy. Featuring beautiful artwork of the characters, this insert has had excellent restoration with touchup to the folds, pinholes in the corners, and a few horizontal creases. There was a tear from the bottom border into Pinocchio's foot and the borders have been airbrushed. Very Fine- on Paper.
