    Description

Passage to Marseille (Warner Brothers, Late-1940s). Fine/Very Fine on Linen. Italian 4 - Fogli (55.5" X 77.5") Luigi Martinati Artwork.
Michael Curtiz, fresh off his success and Oscar win for Casablanca, tried to reunite the majority of his cast for this wartime tale. Back were Peter Lorre, Claude Rains, Sydney Greenstreet, and Humphrey Bogart, playing yet another cynical tough guy with a heart of gold and a fighting cause. Professional restoration has addressed fold wear and separation, moderate tears, and chips in the borders and folds. There was a small chip in the title, and the borders and background have been airbrushed. Fine/Very Fine on Linen.

    Estimate: $1,000 - $2,000.
