Description
Pangburn's Western Style Chocolates (ca. 1950s). Fine/Very Fine on Linen. Advertising Poster (21" X 28"). Gil Elvgren Artwork.Gil Elvgren was one of the most celebrated American commercial illustrators of the twentieth century, best known for his glamorous pin-up art that blended playful humor, idealized beauty, and masterful use of color into some of the era's most iconic advertising imagery. His unmistakable style shines in this delightful poster for Pangburn's Western Style chocolates, which features a spirited cowgirl twirling a lasso over an elegant box of candy. Combining flirtatious charm with lively Western imagery, the design transforms a simple confectionery advertisement into a visually captivating piece of mid-century American commercial art. Touchup has addressed edge wear, small chips, and a few areas of foxing, with light fold wear, slight staining, and few surface lifts, and other foxing remaining.
