    Description

World War I Propaganda (U.S. Government Printing Office, 1917). Very Fine on Linen. Liberty Bonds Poster (28.25" X 41.75") "Let's End It Quick," Maurice Ingres Artwork.
With outstretched arms, Columbia reaches out to the viewer pleading for help for burning city behind her. The poster served as a warning to viewers of a very possible outcome should there be a lack of support from citizens. Professional touchup has been applied to a small paper lift and tear in the lower right border, as well as two tears that extend into the upper background. Still visible are small tears at the edges, minor nicks, and unobtrusive smudges and stains. The interior of the poster has very little wear and touchup.

    Estimate: $500 - $1,000.
