    By the summer of 1940 huge areas of Europe had been occupied by Nazi Germany. This German poster was aimed at persuading the French population that the occupation forces were there for their own safety and protection; "Unprotected civilians, have faith in the German soldier!" The poster has slight edge wear, light creases, moderate tears, and obtrusive stains and smudges. There is a faint dust shadow at the top. Rolled, Very Fine-.
