DescriptionWorld War II Propaganda (Abbott Laboratories, 1943). Rolled, Fine+. War Bonds Poster (11" X 15.5") "If You Can't Go Across...Come Across!" Ernest Fiene Artwork. War.
To show their patriotism on public display, the military medical supplier Abbott Laboratories produced this series of posters in cooperation with the U.S. Treasury Department in an attempt to boost the sale of government war bonds. A unique feature of this series is the biography of the artist printed on the verso of the paper, with this poster highlighting the achievements of Ernest Fiene, whose works were acquired by numerous museums as well as private collectors like the Rockefeller family, Gertrude Vanderbilt Whitney, among many others. An unrestored poster with good color and an overall very presentable appearance. It may have slight edge wear, light creases, minor tears, mild surface rippling, and/or staining. There is soiling on the verso.
