DescriptionWorld War II Propaganda (U.S. Government Printing Office, 1943). Folded, Fine+. OWI Poster No. 41(22" X 28") "Help Bring Them Back to You!" Francis Criss Artwork. War.
In this informative poster by artist Francis Criss, the U.S. government urges citizens to conserve their domestic resources and invest in war bonds to aid the war effort. Originally known for his place in the Precisionism movement and the influence of surrealism in his work, Criss became a commercial artist in the 1940s and even created a cover for Fortune Magazine. An unrestored poster with good color and an overall very presentable appearance. It may have light edge or fold wear, slight fold separations, soft creases, minor tears, mild surface rippling, or faint staining and smudging. There is some soiling on the verso.
