    Offered in this lot is a poster from a series entitled The Hope of a Nation-- A weekly promotional series part of the Works Progress Administration that was passed out to schools during the Great Depression. Used in classrooms, the bright and fun designs were meant to entertain and catch attention of the students to help promote good habits and character traits in students. This poster is the "Appreciation" poster, distributed in 1937 to emphasize to children how it is important to appreciate all aspects of life, and the abilities we are given to use and grow as a society. Also included in this lot is a poster distributed by the National Dairy Council in 1963, advertising to remind viewers to "Drink Enough Milk." Unrestored posters that display signs of use. May include slight edge wear, some creases, pinholes, small tears, stains and smudges, unobtrusive pencil writing, or subtle toning.
