    Description

Political Propaganda (c. 1920s). Fine- on Paper. German Poster (32" X 45") "Das Ist Bolshevism." O. K. Artwork. War.
During and after World War I, Germany received political ideological influence from Russia in the form of Bolshevism, however many Germans opposed Bolsheviks and their beliefs. This propaganda poster warns against Bolshevism, claiming it causes "a bloody sea" and "a host of graves." An unrestored poster with good color and an overall very presentable appearance. It may have edge wear, creases, large tears, some paper loss, staining, toning, and/or brittleness. There is a 10" tear from the lower edge into the image and there is amateur touchup to two chips in the upper border. The verso has several strips of archival and linen tape on the verso. Fine- on Paper.
