    Notorious (RKO, 1946). One Sheet (27" X 41").
Cary Grant and Ingrid Bergman steam up the screen in one of Hitchcock's greatest romances, letting the palpable chemistry between the two enhance the story's already exciting plot. Writer Ben Hecht received an Academy Award nomination for Best Original Screenplay for this espionage thriller, and Claude Rains likewise earned his own nomination for Best Supporting Actor as the Nazi antagonist and third wheel of the picture's love triangle. Although perhaps not as well known today as some of Hitchcock's later films, like Psycho and Vertigo, Notorious gained its own form of infamy at the time of its release with Grant and Bergman's passionate kissing scene. Clocking in at two-and-a-half minutes, Hitchcock played fast and loose with the three second censorship rule of the day, and the scene remains one of the longest kisses in Hollywood history. An excellent poster with an image synonymous with Hitchcock, this poster has had touchup applied to the folds, pinholes in the borders and background, and a sliver of paper loss in the left border. There are been some color boosting to brighten parts of the image. Fine/Very Fine on Linen.
