    Description

Neal Hart (Capital Film Co., c. 1920). Folded, Fine/Very Fine. Stock One Sheet (25.5" X 40").
Western images don't come more iconic than a gun-slinging, grizzled cowboy aiming his six shooters, much like the one seen here in this Neal Hart stock poster, which is making its debut appearance at Heritage. A relative of famed silent Western star William S. Hart, Neal followed his distant cousin into motion pictures soon after William rose to Hollywood stardom, and was met with his own success in the B-Western genre. Still vibrant a century later, this stone litho poster is from the height of Neal Hart's career when he transitioned from short subjects to headlining in feature-length productions. Indications of handling include slight edge and fold wear, mild fold separations, some creases, and extra vertical folds. Also apparent is a hole punch at the top, a chip in the lower border, a few tears, as well as unobtrusive staining in the upper and lower borders. There is faint writing transfer in the lower right border, and the verso has a piece of archival tape bracing a tear.

    Estimate: $1,200 - $2,400.
