    Description

Nana (Les Etablissements Braunberger- Richebe, 1925). French Grande (47.25" X 63") E. Florit Artwork.
Faithfully adapted from Emile Zola's novel, this tragic story of an actress-turned-courtesan was an elaborate affair directed by Jean Renoir. He cast his wife, Catherine Hessling, in the salacious lead role with Werner Krauss, famed for playing Dr. Caligari, filling the part of her noble-born patron. This beautiful country of origin poster features a rich stone litho image of the two by E. Florit, with touchup applied to the folds and borders for small chips and tears. Very Fine- on Linen.

    Estimate: $2,500 - $5,000.
