Description

The Thin Man (MGM, 1934). Pre-War Australian Daybill (15" X 40").
This is the first of the ever-popular, six-film series of sophisticated Thin Man mysteries starring the dynamic pair of William Powell and Myrna Loy. Nick and Nora are called on to solve the mystery of a vanished scientist and a couple of related murders. W.S. Van Dyke directed the best films of the series, and lets the witty dialogue and wry banter between the stars fly, creating one of the top films of the era, which was nominated for an Academy Award. Maureen O'Sullivan co-stars. Offered here is the very rare and gorgeous original 1934 Australian daybill, which had only pinholes in the borders and corner bumps at the bottom, prior to professional conservation. Very Fine on Paper.
