    Description

    The Falcon Lot (RKO, 1942-4). Title Lobby Card (11" X 14") and Lobby Cards (3) (11" X 14"). Starting in 1941, George Sanders created the character of the Falcon, an amateur detective named Gay Lawrence. After three films Sanders had tired of the role, so in the 1942 film "The Falcon's Brother," he briefly appeared to hand over the series to his "brother," Tom Lawrence (Tom Conway). Conway kept the role going for another nine films, through 1946. This lot combines four cards from different "Falcon" films with both of the stars. These cards have corner creases, edge tears, dust shadowing and stains, and a few pinholes. Conway is featured on three of the cards and Sanders on one, along with several of the notable guest stars, including Barbara Hale, James Gleason and Harriet Hilliard ("Ozzie and Harriet").
