The Pirate (MGM, 1948). Insert (14" X 36").
This is the first time Heritage has offered an insert for this colorful love story from director Vincente Minnelli. His then-wife Judy Garland and Gene Kelly (who also co-choreographed with the Nicholas Brothers) star in the tale of a woman who fantasizes about life on the high seas with the black pirate, Macoco. This film was a rarity in that it was one of the very few times Cole Porter wrote a musical score specifically for a film. In highly presentable condition, the piece shows only right edge wear, fold wear, small paper loss in the left border, corner bends, and pinholes in the borders. Folded, Fine/Very Fine.
