Description
The Pirate by Albert Hackett & Frances Goodrich (MGM, 1948). Very Fine-. Dialogue Cutting Continuity Script (107 Pages, 8.5" X 11"). Musical.Judy Garland and Gene Kelly star in this grand MGM musical, directed by Garland's then-husband, Vincent Minnelli. Kelly also served as a choreographer for the picture alongside the Nicholas brothers, dancing to the tunes of Cole Porter in one of the few musical scores the composer ever specifically wrote for a film. The script's pages are numbered according to reel and the script is bradded at the top with studio covers, with the front one bearing a vault label. Dated April 5, 1948, this continuity script was used for editing as well as future reference purposes, and contains a complete listing of all the music and dance routines in the film. Primarily found on the covers, signs of handling include slight edge wear, a minute paper lift, unobrusive stains, and dust shadows. The writing and ink stamps found on the front cover are from studio usage and therefore do not affect the grade.
